The Gold Elite microphone comes to you with a foam windscreen and a 5/8”-27 microphone clip that is designed for our booms and desk stands. The Gold Elite uses the HEIL CC-1 Connecting Cables.
The microphone audio is fed to pins 1 (shield) and 2 of the four pin XLR. Usual mic gain will be set between 65 to 80. Adjust the mic gain by watching the ALC meter. I also purchased the Heil-FS3 PTT footswitch and a knockoff desk boom stand. The Heil ICm matches superbly and is specifically designed for ICom radios and drives the radio very well. Finally pulled the trigger on a desk mic for the ICom 7300. Heil ICm with IC-7300 - Simply Superb! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
